Stumbled upon this and it is soooooooooooo freaking hilarious!

So I uploaded my passport photo..

Tomorrow’s the interview with MAS. Wasn’t really too psyched up about it coz I’m still wondering if I wanna be a civil servant. But after accompanying dear dear to tan tock seng today, I realised being civil servant isn’t too bad.

 

Why?

 

Coz don’t need to pay to see doctor and got free medicine somemore! Wahhhhhhhhhhh………

 

Haha.. But still quite sian that after tomorrow’s interview I still got a psychometric test and a panel test with the management. That is, assuming I pass tomorrow’s interview. Sian lah… Why can’t recruitment processes be more direct?!?! And its so demoralising to make it all the way to the final round and then get rejected lor. Although I don’t really know what that feels like coz I have not made it past the first round of any interview thus far. Haha…. So laoji

 

So now, I’m kinda hoping to pass, just for the sake of passing so that I wouldn’t seem so pok to be failing all the interviews. Hoho…. *telling myself that I WANT to be a civil servant and that I love singapore very very muchs* Fingers crossed!

I miss the 90’s… April 11, 2008

I was studying in the library today, listening to my iPod. I realised that I was always skipping through certain songs and in the end, I end up listening to the same old few songs.

 

And these favourites of mine had something in common – they were Pop songs. Yes yes, you may laugh your ass off… But I realised that the Pop songs that I grew up listening to are honestly the best music I’ve ever listened!

 

There’s no angst, no vulgarities, no singers lamenting about their pathetic lives or how the world is going to end. It was just plain, simple, happy Pop!

 

As cheesy as it sounds, I love to hear floppy blonde hair cuties with baby blue eyes (it was the thing back then) crooning about how I’ll Never Break Your Heart and that they will go Anywhere For You. I get swept off my feet as they treat me Like A Rose and tell me that I Do (Cherish You). I mean, who wouldn’t die if someone told them that God Must Have Spent A Lil More Time On You?! Basically, I guess what Pop songs does for me is to instill hope in me that there is someone out there who is willing to give me his 10,000 Promises that he will give All I Have To Give and that its all Because of You. Sighhh……  I Want It That Way!!!

 

 

Yes, I love the 90s and I love my boy bands!!! And I am not ashamed to say it out loud!

 

Getting myself inked… March 23, 2008

I’ve been thinking about getting a tattoo since forever. And now that there’s this Miami Ink show, I’m even more fascinated with tattoos.

Those tattoo artists on the show are absolutely amazing! They can transform something on paper into a piece of art on flesh. Best part is when they can do freehand drawing i.e without a stencil. Really shen I tell you.

Then again, I can’t possibly fly over to Miami to get something done right? That is, if the shop really exists. Haha…

Problem is I have my doubts about Singapore’s standards when it comes to tattooing. What’s more, this is tattooing we’re talking about! If you tio a lousy one, that’s it already! Its not like a haircut where the hair can grow up in a few months right lor. Have to use laser to remove a bad tattoo *ouch*

Anyway, I’ve even thought of a few designs already if I ever do go and get a tattoo done.

 

1. Butterfly

 

I like this one. I actually had the photo since eons ago. I like the soft vines and lil butterflies accompanying the main one. Makes it look balanced and not so dull. Nice!

 

2. Fairy (ala Tinkerbell)

 

I think fairy tattoos are cool too. Especially if you can make them a lil evil and not the typical garden fairy. I absolutely love the tattered wings that this fairy has and how the artist used b&w to bring up the texture and dimensions.

 

3. Star

Shooting star. A lil flat and 2-d but perhaps with more shadows it’ll look nicer.

 

I think the nautical stars are nice but quite punk rock. Dunno if I can carry it off though.

 

I also thought of dragonfly, angel, vines with abit of flowers, heart and alphabets. Seen those on the show before and it turned out pretty neat!

The more I talk about it the more I wanna get one done right now!!! OMG I am so scared I will just do something on impulse. LOL.

I have a new chest of drawers that is soooooooo preeeettttyyyyyyyyyyy.

Carefully guarded by my bear bear and pig pig. It plays music when you open the lower drawer. Sugar Plum Dance from The Nutcracker, one of my all-time favourite!

(Not So) New Beginning December 28, 2007

Another sudden impulse to start a blog. Again. Past experience have shown that none of my blogs ever last long, usually because I lose the interest to blog about my mundane life which does not really deserve much attention in the first place.

 

Maybe this time I will try really hard to make it last. We’ll see.

 

First I have to try to figure out how to deco my blog coz I can’t seem to figure out how to work the CSS thing. Maybe its coz I have to pay for the subscription. Sigh, WordPress doesn’t seem as user friendly as Blogspot. I wonder if I made a right choice.
